Paul Franklin
When Paul Franklin moved to Steamboat in 2003 after a successful development career in Chicago, he was only planning to stay for a year. Thankfully for the local skyline, he fell prey to the Yampa curse and now calls Steamboat home. While in Chicago, Franklin developed several mixed-use, multi-unit projects, including ventures in historic Oak Park and along Lincoln Avenue. He's applied that same award-winning attention to detail in Steamboat, with project highlights including the 20-lot Elkins Meadows and 31-lot Aspen View Estates along Fish Creek Falls Road. He's also responsible for Hayden's 51-lot Valley View Business Park, which is credited with helping re-shape the town. Developed by Franklin's 5th and Yampa LLC, the 41,000-square-foot Olympian project in the heart of downtown represents a return to his roots after his highly regarded land projects. "In all my projects, I strive to create a look today that will continue to look good 100 years from now," he says, adding that he stresses creativity and functionality in his designs.

Vertical Arts, Inc.
Before Vertical Arts, Inc. began the design for The Olympian they understood the significance of its name and location. They embraced the significance of its location and chose to draw from the historical western tradition of Steamboat's main street incorporating its' timeless materials in a contemporary design. With The Olympian their intent was to represent the true character of Steamboat through a contemporary interpretation, rather than a direct copy of any one of its' traditional buildings. Founded by Brandt Vanderbosch, Vertical Arts, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary firm with a diverse staff of professionals in Architecture, Land Planning, and Landscape Architecture. Through their designs they strive to express a commitment to authentic place, a connection to people, and their passion for the natural environment in which we all live, work, and play.
